Bamileke Stool
There are about 90 groups, or fondoms, of closely related people that make up the Bamileke of the Western High Plateaus of Cameroon. These hierarchical grassland communities are known for many things, including their hand-carved wares. The Bamileke Spider Stool is an intricate piece crafted as a throne for a tribal chief or king. The various stools are indicative of status in the tribe. Use these gorgeous wood thrones in a living space as a coffee table.
