Our dining chairs are built from natural materials: solid teak and oak frames, hand-woven rattan, cane and cord seats, with a few upholstered options. They're chosen to sit beside a solid wood table and to bring texture to the room, not just seating.
Choose wishbone-style chairs with curved oak frames and woven seats, teak dining chairs that come in armless and armchair versions so the ends of the table can match the sides, or fully woven rattan chairs for a softer, more relaxed look. A few chairs are made for indoor and outdoor use, which suits a kitchen, a breakfast nook or a covered patio.

How many dining chairs fit around my table?
Plan on about 24 inches of table edge per side chair, and closer to 28 to 30 inches for an armchair. A 72-inch rectangular table usually seats six, and a 48-inch round table seats four comfortably. Wider chairs need more room, so check each chair's width on its product page before buying a full set.
What seat height should a dining chair have?
Most dining tables stand 29 to 30 inches tall. A seat height of 17 to 19 inches leaves the 10 to 12 inches of space between seat and tabletop that's comfortable for most people. Every chair in this collection lists its seat height on its product page.
Should I mix armchairs and side chairs?
Many people put armchairs at the two ends of the table and armless chairs along the sides. It gives the table a clear head and foot and saves space along the long sides. If you add armchairs, check that the arms clear the table's apron so the chairs can slide all the way in.
How do I care for woven rattan and cane seats?
Dust or vacuum the weave with a soft brush attachment, and wipe spills with a damp cloth rather than soaking the seat. Keep woven chairs out of strong direct sun and away from heating vents, which can dry the fibers out. Natural rattan and cane soften and warm in tone over time, and that's part of their character.
Can I use these dining chairs outdoors?
The chairs labeled indoor/outdoor and our teak dining chairs with woven seats can go on a covered patio or porch, where they're protected from direct rain. Every other chair here is made for indoor use.
