Solid Wood Nightstands
Every nightstand here is solid reclaimed elm, with the grain, knots and soft shifts in tone that come with old timber. Six of the seven have a drawer for the things you reach for at night, and below that you can choose closed cabinet doors, an open cubby or a low shelf for books and baskets. They run 19.5 to 21.5 inches wide and 21.5 to 27.5 inches high, in natural elm and one charcoal black. For dressers and larger storage, see our solid wood storage cabinets.
To furnish the whole room, see our wabi sabi bedroom furniture, with armoires, dressers and an end-of-bed bench in the same elm.
FAQ
How tall should a nightstand be?
About level with the top of your mattress, or within an inch or two of it. Ours range from 21.5 inches (the low Nesa) to 27.5 inches (the Kai and Nola), so measure your bed before choosing.
What size nightstand works with a queen or king bed?
At 19.5 to 21.5 inches wide, ours suit a full or queen bed. With a king, they look best as a matching pair on both sides.
Should I choose drawers, doors or an open shelf?
The Nola has three drawers for the most hidden storage. The Kai and Carmel pair a drawer with a cabinet for bigger items. The Maile, Dakota and Layla keep a drawer up top and an open shelf below for books and baskets.
Are these nightstands solid wood?
Yes. All seven are reclaimed elm. Each one shows its own knots, grain and small marks, so no two are identical.
Can I order a matching pair?
Yes. Nightstands are sold individually, and most have 4 to 8 in stock, so ordering two of the same is easy.
