Compact Sideboards
Not every dining room or entry has room for an 80-inch sideboard. These pieces run 36 to 55 inches wide and 16.5 to 18 inches deep, enough to hold plates, linens or barware while fitting a short wall, a hallway or the end of a kitchen. Most are reclaimed elm, from traditional paneled doors in natural or black to simpler flat-front designs, and the Grier pairs mango wood with cane doors. Need more length? FAQ
What size is a small sideboard?
Anything under about 60 inches wide usually counts. Ours are 36 to 55 inches wide and 16.5 to 18 inches deep.
Where can I use a small sideboard?
In a dining nook, an entryway, a hallway, or under a wall-mounted TV in a bedroom. At 31 to 37.5 inches high, they also work as a serving surface.
Should I choose drawers or doors?
The Elm Two Drawer and Elm Three Drawer cabinets put drawers above the cabinets, which is handy for flatware, napkins and small things. Door-only pieces give you taller shelves for pitchers, bottles and stacked dishes.
How much space do I need in front of it?
Leave about 36 inches so the doors open fully and people can walk past.
What are these sideboards made of?
All are reclaimed elm except the Grier, which is mango wood with cane door panels. Each product page lists the exact materials and finish.
