Natural Materials, Thoughtful Craft
The Four Door Elm Sideboard is built from reclaimed elm, with four flat-panel doors set into a framed front, a slightly overhanging top and short square legs. Each door has a small antique brass pull. Behind the doors are four compartments, each with a shelf, for plates, serving pieces and linens. The natural finish shows the elm's open grain and soft weathering, and the tone shifts a little from board to board. The look is rustic, and it fits just as well in a Japandi or organic modern dining room. At 79 inches wide and 17.5 inches deep, it works as a buffet along a dining wall or as a long media console under a TV. Because the elm is reclaimed, no two sideboards match exactly in tone or texture.
