Large Coffee Tables
A long sofa or a sectional needs a coffee table that can hold its own. A good rule is to choose one about two thirds the length of the sofa. Every table here is 55 to 71 inches long, most in reclaimed elm, with reclaimed oak and teak pieces too. They sit low, 14 to 18 inches high, with plenty of room for books, a tray and the few things you want on display. For smaller rooms, see all of our coffee tables. The Senufo pieces also have a page of their own: Senufo coffee tables & stools.
FAQ
What size coffee table works with a sectional?
Aim for about two thirds of the sofa's length. For a 100-inch sectional, that's roughly 63 to 70 inches, which fits the Aki (70") and the Elm Senufo Coffee Table (71").
How far should a coffee table be from the sofa?
About 14 to 18 inches. That's close enough to reach a drink and far enough to walk past comfortably.
How tall should a coffee table be?
Level with the sofa seat or an inch or two lower. Most sofa seats are 17 to 19 inches high, and our large coffee tables range from 14 to 18 inches.
What are these coffee tables made of?
Most are reclaimed elm. The two Troy tables are reclaimed oak, the Celia is reclaimed teak, and the Avery is solid oak with oak veneer. Each product page lists the exact materials and finish.
Will a reclaimed wood coffee table have marks or cracks?
Yes, and that's expected. Reclaimed elm and oak show knots, small cracks, old nail holes and shifts in tone from their earlier life. No two tables are the same, and those details are part of the piece.
